The New Jersey based Cage Fury Fighting Championships presents it biggest show ever on Saturday Night as the promotion is making their pay-per-view debut. The event will be headlined by a four pack of title fights, with Jonavin Webb defending the welterweight title against former Bellator Welterweight Champion Lyman Good in the main event. There are six fights on the preliminary card, they will be featuring some up and coming talent looking to break through to the next level.
Kicking off the action is a lightweight division affair as Justin Bonitatis (1-0-0) competes against Mike Cardona (1-0-0). Bonitatis made his professional MMA debut earlier this year at CFFC 36, defeating Jake Anderson by TKO. Cardona also made his professional MMA debut earlier this year, defeating Mike Williams at Cage Madness 31. These are two fighters who should have long careers ahead of them, but it will be Bonitatis staying undefeated in the end.
A pair of bantamweights will clash next as Ricky Bandejas (2-0-0) does battle against Merab Dvalishvili (1-1-0). Bandejas has spent his entire career thus far in CFFC, last defeating Chris Piriz by unanimous decision at CFFC 37. Dvalishvili will be looking to build on the momentum of his first professional MMA win, which came over Dennis Dombrow at Ring Of Combat 49. Bandejas has already fought some tough competition in his young MMA career and that experience will help him defeat Dvalishvili.
The welterweight division will be featured next as Ryan Patrovich (1-0-0) is in action against Nicholas Willey (1-0-0). Patrovich made his professional MMA debut earlier this year at CFFC 38, defeating Allan Otto by decision. Willey also made his professional MMA debut earlier this year, defeating Travis Funk at Xtreme Fight Events 45. It is always interesting to have some battle of the undefeated fighters on the card and it will be Patrovich winning this particular battle.
More lightweight division action is happening next as Robert Fabrizi (3-1-0) battles Caleb McAllister (2-1-0). Fabrizi has spent his entire career thus far in CFFC and he has only seen one of his fights go to the judge’s scorecards. McAllister is currently undefeated in CFFC competition and he will be returning to action after a nearly two year layoff. The long layoff is going to hurt McAllister in this one as Fabrizi picks up his fourth victory in the CFFC promotion.
Up next is a light heavyweight division attraction as Jared Platt (1-0-0) will be taking on Donta Wade (3-1-0-2NC). Platt made his professional MMA debut a little over a year ago at Ring Of Combat 44, defeating Mitch Whitesel by TKO. Wade has only won just one of his last three bouts, with that lone win coming over Aaron Hartman at Michiana Fight League 34. Wade has been on a run of bad luck as of late and he will be righting the ship on Saturday Night when he defeats Platt.
Headlining this portion of the card is a flyweight division battle as Sergio “The Savage†Da Silva (3-5-0) faces Evan Velez (6-2-0-1NC). Da Silva is currently undefeated in CFFC completion and he has previously competed once in Bellator MMA. Velez has won two of three in CFFC competition and he will be returning to action after a year-plus layoff. Da Silva only seems to shine in CFFC competition and he will pull a big upset as he defeats Velez in this one.
