After a six year absence, Battlegrounds MMA tournament winner Roan Carneiro is returning to the UFC after signing a new deal with the promotion. Carneiro’s first run with the UFC came in 2007/2008, where he fought such names as Jon Fitch and Ryo Chonan. Carneiro caught the eye of the UFC again earlier this year when he won the Battlegrounds MMA one night tournament, where he defeated Randall Wallace, Trey Houston and Brock Larson respectively.
