A bout for the vacant Resurrection Fighting Alliance Welterweight Title as Chidi Njokuani battles Gilbert Smith. Njokuani has won three of five fights under the RFA banner and he is the brother of recently released UFC fighter Anthony Njokuani. Smith is a UFC veteran who has won five of six fights since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Bubba McDaniel at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. Resurrection Fighting Alliance 22 takes place on January 9th from the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
