Three new bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night 61 as Wendell Oliveira faces TJ Waldburger, Santiago Ponzinibbio faces Sean Strickland and Ivan Jorge faces Josh Shockley. Oliveira is currently winless in UFC competition, having dropped a fight to Santiago Ponzinibbio at UFC Fight Night: Bigfoot vs. Arlovski. Waldburger has only won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Nick Catone at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale.
Ponzinibbio will be looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Wendell Oliveira at UFC Fight Night: Bigfoot vs. Arlovski. Strickland has won his previous two bouts under the UFC banner, most notably defeating Bubba McDaniel at UFC 171.
Jorge will be looking to rebound from his first loss under the UFC banner, which came to Rodrigo Damm at UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Mousasi. Shockley is currently winless in UFC competition, with that loss coming to Jason Saggo by TKO at UFC 174. UFC Fight Night 61 takes place on February 22nd from the Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Brazil with Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira headlining.
