Former UFC and Bellator MMA fighter Dave Herman was arrested this past Monday morning for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, battery against law enforcement and a host of misdemeanor charges. Herman was spotted by Dekalb County (Indiana) police officers speeding in his truck with no headlights and/or taillights on. Herman initially refused to be pulled over by police until he finally stopped at a gas station, where he became belligerent towards the officers.
The officers then tasered Herman before finally arresting him, he is currently being held in a Dekalb County Prison as the situation becomes resolved. A woman and child were also present in the car, there is no word yet on how or if they were involved in any of the illegal activities. Herman last competed for the Titan Fighting Championships promotion, where he is scheduled to fight for the promotions heavyweight title in the near future.
