TONY ATLAS PREPARING FOR HIS FILM & WWF TRAVEL:
"What you're doing is bringing back - not sports entertainment - you are bringing back wrestling!  That's what wrestling is all about.  The fans and the wrestlers were one.  The fans love the wrestlers, the wrestlers love the fans.  When a fan asks you for a picture, you're not to good to take a picture, take that picture.  They came out to see you, take the picture.  If they want an autograph, give 'em an autograph.

"I remember many times I used to travel, and that fans don't really know this, but sometimes I would travel all the way from Boston, MA and the next day I'd have to be in Washington, DC.  We didn't catch flights, we used to drive.  So you drove into Boston probably coming from Buffalo, NY, and then you were at the Boston Garden, then you have to get up the next day, go to the gym, get something to eat, get on the road and drive a good nine hours from Boston to Washington DC.  And then you would wrestle.  And you walk in the dressing room and feel like crap...and you wrestled the night before......and then you step out into that arena and you see people patting you on the back, cheering you, calling your name, hollaring USA, USA, all of a sudden you get energy.....without the fans, we could not perform like we did, because when I got out there many nights I was tired, I wanted to go to sleep, you know, not even go in the ring.  But as soon as I stepped through the curtain, and I see the energy, the smiles on the kids faces, and everybody's rooting for you, and I would say to myself 'Tony you've gotta reach down deep, and pull out some energy cause you cannot let these people down.' And I wouldn't let them down by coming here.  So you can't let these people down, because they didn't let you down buying a ticket."

TONY ATLAS ON HIS SEMINAR THIS SUNDAY AT THE BELL TIME CLUB:
"That's going to be fantastic.  A lot of people don't realize they didn't have wrestling schools when I first started.  People like Johnny Weaver, George Scott, Sandy Scott, people you've heard about, Wahoo McDaniel, Patera Restani, Blackjack Mulligan, Ken Patera, Larry Sharpe was the main one, he's the owner of the Monster Factory.  These were all the wrestlers that were training me.  What really, always amazed me, I couldn't believe that I was in the ring, with Wahoo McDaniel or Ken Patera and I used to watch these guys on television.  And now I'm in the ring learning how to do what they did with a successful career.  That's just amazed the hell out of me that I was in the ring with someone I looked up to, you know, in the wrestling world.  Blackjack Mulligan, Blackjack Lanza, these guys, they took turns in training the young and upcoming wrestlers.  They passed on their knowledge onto me, and you don't see that much anymore because the older guys don't wanna pass knowledge ontot the younger kids because they're afraid they'll be out of a job.

"I tell this to all the independents.  Look in the mirror and ask yourself would you pay to see you?  If not, you're stealing money, as Ernie Ladd would say."
