Following the injury to Josh Thomson, Alex Oliveira has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Gilbert Burns at UFC Fight Night 62. Oliveira will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he has previously fought UFC veteran Wendell Oliveira. Burns has won his previous two bouts under the UFC banner, last defeating Christos Giagos by submission at UFC 179. UFC Fight Night 62 takes place on March 21st from the Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Damien Maia and Ryan LaFlare headlining.
