TITAN FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 33 PREVIEW & PREDICTIONS

By David Tees on 3/18/2015 9:53 AM

In what can arguably be considered the greatest card in the history of Titan Fighting Championships is taking place this Friday Night. The event will feature four title bouts (with one of those title bouts taking place on the prelims) and the promotional debut of WSOF veteran Cody Bollinger. The four title bouts will feature five UFC veterans, a former Cage Warriors champion and a Bellator MMA veteran.

Main Card

Main Event

Titan FC Featherweight Title Fight Desmond “The Predator” Green (14-3-0) (Champion) vs. Kurt Holobaugh (13-2-0)

Green will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating UFC veteran Steven Siler at Titan FC 32. Holobaugh is a UFC veteran who is undefeated in Titan FC, last defeating Bellator MMA veteran Lloyd Woodard at Titan FC 29. Green had a five fight run in Bellator MMA before coming to Titan FC, where he earned a notable win over Mike Richman at Bellator 110. Holobaugh has been undefeated since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Steven Siler at UFC 159. Green has been on another level with his wrestling and striking since coming over to Titan FC and he uses that wrestling to get the decision over Holobaugh.

Co-Main Event

Titan FC Heavyweight Title Decision Fight

Chase Gormley (11-4-0-1NC) vs. Jon Madsen (8-1-0)

Gormley is a UFC veteran who will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight and he does so on a four fight winning streak. Madsen is also a UFC veteran who is making his Titan FC debut, having only fought one time in the last four years. Gormley is returning to heavyweight in this bout after a short stint competing as a super heavyweight. Madsen actually won four of five fights under the UFC banner, with a notable win coming over Gilbert Yvel at UFC 121. Gormley has been doing well for himself on the regional scene and he knocks out a vastly outmatched Madsen to win the gold.

Titan FC Lightweight Title Decision Fight

Pat “Bam Bam” Healy (30-20-0-1NC) vs. Kurt Kinser (8-0-0)

Healy is a UFC veteran who will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight and this fight will be his first title fight in well over six years. Kinser is also making his Titan FC debut in this fight and he did have a one fight stint in the Bellator MMA promotion. Healy has been undefeated since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Gleison Tibau at UFC Fight Night: Cerrone vs. Miller. Kinser has only competed once in the last three years and none of his fights have gone to the judge’s scorecard. Healy is one of the more dominant wrestlers in MMA right now and he outwrestles Kinser to get a decision and the belt.

Titan FC Featherweight Division Fight

Cody “The Cali Cowboy” Bollinger (17-3-0) vs. Andre “The Bull” Harrison (8-0-0)

Bollinger will be making his Titan FC debut in this fight and he once challenged for the WSOF Bantamweight Title. Harrison is currently undefeated under the Titan FC banner and he is a longtime veteran of the Ring Of Combat promotion. Bollinger is the better all-around fighter, but Harrison’s wrestling is top notch and that will secure him a decision.
