Former Invicta FC Atomweight (105 pound) Champion Michelle “Karate Hottie†Waterson has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC. Since the UFC has no atomweight division, Waterson will be movie up a weight class to compete at strawweight. Waterson won the Invicta FC Atomweight Title back at Invicta FC V, where she submitted UFC veteran Jessica Penne via arm bar. Waterson did lose the title to Herica Tiburico at Invicta FC X in December 2014, which was her last bout before signing with the UFC.
