UFC veteran Gerald Strebendt has pleaded guilty to negligent homicide in connection with a shooting death of David Crofut during a road rage incident in Springfield, Oregon. Strebendt will be spending just under five years in an Oregon prison, he will be forced to undergo psychological evaluations while incarcerated and he will never be allowed to possess and/or own guns for the remainder of his life. Strebendt’s lone UFC appearance came back at UFC 44 in September 2003, where he suffered a knockout loss to Josh Thomson. Strebendt last competed at Elite Warriors Championships III in 2008, suffering a defeat to Strikeforce veteran Lyle Beerbohm.
