By David Tees on 6/19/2015 9:53 AM

UFC history will be made on Saturday because for the first time in the history of the promotion, a championship will be defended on a UFC Fight Pass exclusive event. The main event of UFC Fight Night 69 will be a women’s strawweight title fight as champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defends against Jessica Penne. Also, Dennis Siver faces Tatsuya Kawajiri in a key featherweight bout and longtime MMA veteran Peter Sobotta is in action.

Main Card

Main Event

UFC Women’s Strawweight Title Fight

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (9-0-0) (Champion) vs. Jessica Penne (12-2-0)

Jedrzejczyk will be making the first defense of her championship, which she won by defeating Carla Esparza at UFC 185. Penne is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Randa Markos at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Prior to coming to the UFC in 2014, Jedrzejczyk actually defeated women’s MMA pioneer Rosi Sexton in a bout at Cage Warriors 69. Penne has already held a championship as a pro, having won the Invicta FC Strawweight Title in 2012. Penne’s only shot is to get the fight to the ground and Jedrzejczyk proved against Esparza that it will not be easy to do, Jedrzejczyk gets a first round TKO finish here.

Co-Main Event

UFC Featherweight Division Fight

Tatsuya “Crusher” Kawajiri (33-8-2) vs. Dennis Siver (22-10-0-1NC)

Kawajiri has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Sean Soriano at UFC Fight Night: Saffiedine vs. Lim. Siver has only won just one of his last four fights in the UFC, with that one win coming over Charles Rosa at UFC Fight Night: Story vs. Nelson. Kawajiri won five straight fights before entering the UFC in 2014, with two of those five wins coming over UFC veterans Michihiro Omigawa and Drew Fickett. Siver will be fighting in a third straight international UFC event, his last stateside appearance came at UFC 168 in 2013. These are two fighters who are well out of title contention at this point, Siver has the better striking and he uses that to keep Kawajiri at a distance to get a decision win.

UFC Welterweight Division Fight

Steven “The Steamrolla” Kennedy (22-6-0) vs. Peter Sobotta (14-4-1)

Kennedy will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is a former Australian Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion. Sobotta is currently undefeated in his second UFC run, having defeated Pawel Pawlak at UFC Fight Night: Munoz vs. Mousasi. Kennedy took this fight on late notice and that is going to affect him, Sobotta uses his wrestling game to grind out a decision.

UFC Lightweight Division Fight

“Sergeant” Nick Hein (11-2-0-1NC) vs. Lukasz “Wookie” Sajewski (13-0-0)

Hein has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Drew Dober at UFC Fight Night: Munoz vs. Mousasi. Sajewski will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he does hold a win over Bellator MMA veteran Marcin Held. The majority of this fight should be contested on the ground, which is where Sajewski catches Hein with a submission to stay undefeated.
