SHLEMENKO SUSPENDED FOR THREE YEARS

Former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko has been suspended by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) for three years and fined $10,000 for his failed post fight drug test following Bellator 133. Besides those two forms of punishment handed down by the CSAC, Shlemenko’s victory over Melvin Manhoef at the event has been overturned to a no contest. Shlemenko will not be able to compete again until mid-2018 at the earliest, Shlemenko is expected to take legal action against the CSAC.
