The highly touted Resurrection Fighting Alliance will cap off an exciting 2015 with another loaded card worth checking out. The event will be headlined by a lightweight division bout as Adam Townsend faces UFC veteran Ernest Chavez. Also, ten more of MMA’s top prospects will enter the cage as they take the next step in their MMA careers.

RFA Lightweight Division Fight
Adam “Prime Time†Townsend (14-3-0) vs. “The Mad Titan†Ernest Chavez (9-2-0)
Townsend has already won two bouts under the RFA banner, with those wins coming over two UFC veterans in Ryan Roberts and Yuri Villefort. Chavez will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he has only won just one bout in the last year-plus. Townsend will enter the fight on an eight fight winning streak and he has not lost a bout in nearly two years. Chavez fought three times in the UFC, with his lone promotional win coming over Yosdenis Cedeno at UFC 170. Townsend is on quite the run defeating UFC veterans right now and he grounds Chavez for three rounds on route to a decision win.

RFA Welterweight Division Fight
Joe “Joey Slash†Merritt (6-1-0) vs. Felipe Fogolin (7-2-0)
Merritt will be competing for the first time since his UFC release, which came after a loss to Alex Oliveira at UFC Fight Night: Machida vs. Romero. Fogolin will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he will be returning to action after a year-plus layoff. Merritt will be returning to the RFA after a year absence, he defeated Steven Ciaccio at RFA 21 in December 2014. Fogolin is a longtime veteran of The Warriors Cage promotion, where five of his pro victories came in. Merritt does not have the best ground game in MMA and Fogolin is amazing on the ground, Fogolin grounds and submits Merritt in the first.
RFA Welterweight Division Fight
Jose “Suavecito†Diaz (5-1-0) vs. Anthony Hernandez (5-0-0)
Diaz wll be looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to Bruno Lopes at Jungle Fight 76. Hernandez will be making his RFA debut in this fight and all five of his wins as a pro came within the first round. Diaz’s best shot to win the fight is to get his opponent to the ground, but Hernandez will swarm him before he has the chance for a first round stoppage.
RFA Middleweight Division Fight
Khalil “The War Horse†Rountree (3-0-0) vs. Justin “Oni†Polendey (7-2-0)
Rountree has spent his entire professional MMA career in the RFA, making his professional MMA debut at RFA 15 in June 2014. Polendey will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he is a longtime veteran of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. These two fighters are going to want to engage in a striking war and it will be Polendey using his striking to edge out a decision.
RFA Bantamweight Division Fight
Boston “Boom Boom†Salmon (4-0-0) vs. Keith Carson (6-2-0)
Salmon is another fighter who has spent his entire pro career in the RFA and only one of his four bouts went to the judge’s scorecards. Carson will be making his RFA debut in this fight and he has previously competed against UFC veteran Chris Beal. Salmon is a fighter who has been growing steadily since turning pro, he finishes Carson with strikes in the second round.
RFA Light Heavyweight Division Fight
Jordan Johnson (3-0-0) vs. Luc Bondole (5-1-2)
Johnson has already competed once under the RFA banner, having defeated Gemenie Strehlow at RFA 29. Bondole will be making his RFA debut after a three fight run in Bellator MMA, where he earned just a single victory. The majority of this fight should be contested on the ground, which is where Johnson will squeak out a decision win.
