Fight #5 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Julian Erosa (14-3-0) vs. Marcin Wrzosek (10-3-0)

Referee: Jason Herzog

Round One

The round begins with Wrzosek catching Erosa with a front kick followed by a right, Wrzosek rocks Erosa with a right hook. Wrzosek backs up Erosa after landing a series of rights, the fighters clinch and battle for position along the cage wall. Erosa catches Wrzosek with some knee strikes while in the clinch, Wrzosek looks for the takedown and Erosa uses a guillotine choke attempt to get top position. Erosa attempts a d’arce choke and Wrzosek escapes after a long struggle, the fighters stand up and clinch on the cage wall. The fighters catch each other with several strikes while in the clinch as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Wrzosek backing up Erosa after landing a punching combination, Wrzosek scores a takedown on Erosa and he gets the open guard. Erosa scrambles to his feet to get the fight standing again, the fighters clinch and battle for position along the cage wall. Wrzosek rocks Erosa after landing a pair of left hooks, Wrzosek looks for a takedown after clinching again with Erosa. Erosa starts connecting with a few knee strikes on Wrzosek, Wrzosek scores a takedown on Erosa and he gets the open guard. Erosa scrambles to get the fight standing again, Wrzosek scores another takedown and he gets the open guard again as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Erosa winning a wild striking exchange with Wrzosek, Wrzosek accidentally nails Erosa low and the fight is halted. The fight resumes with Erosa nailing Wrzosek with a flying knee strike, Erosa scores a takedown and Wrzosek catches him in a guillotine choke. Erosa escapes the choke to remain in top position, Wrzosek scrambles to get the fight standing once again. The fighters clinch and exchange some strikes along the cage wall, Erosa separates before landing another flying knee strike on Wrzosek. Erosa scores another takedown on Wrzosek and he gets the half guard, Erosa attempts a d’arce choke and Wrzosek breaks free as the round ends.

Fight Result: Julian Erosa def. Marcin Wrzosek by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Fight #6 - UFC Featherweight Division Fight

Tatsuya Kawajiri (34-8-2) vs. Jason Knight (16-1-0)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with Knight hitting a kicking Kawajiri with a counter right, Kawajiri scores a takedown on Knight and he gets the full guard. Knight uses his rubber guard to attack Kawajiri with strikes from his back, Knight goes for a triangle choke and Kawajiri escapes after a struggle to stay on top. Kawajiri starts attacking Knight with some ground and pound, Kawajiri briefly postures up as he continues to attack Knight with strikes. Kawajiri remains in top position as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Kawajiri scoring a takedown on Knight and he gets the full guard, Knight goes right to working the rubber guard. Kawajiri starts attacking Knight with ground and pound once again, the referee stands up the fighters for inactivity and Kawajiri instantly scores another takedown. Kawajiri quickly gains the half guard position on Knight, Kawajiri transitions to the full mount on Knight. Knight gets Kawajiri back to the half guard as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Kawajiri cracking Knight with a spinning side kick to the midsection, Kawajiri scores a takedown on Knight and he gets the full guard. Kawajiri transitions to the half guard on Knight, the referee stands up the fighters for inactivity and Kawajiri instantly scores another takedown on Knight. Kawajiri quickly advances to side control on Knight, Knight uses the rubber guard to trap the arms of Kawajiri. The referee stands up the fighters for inactivity again and Kawajiri scores another takedown on Knight as the round ends.

Fight Result: Tatsuya Kawajiri def. Jason Knight by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Fight #7 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Evan Dunham (16-6-0) vs. Joe Lauzon (25-11-0)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Dunham attacking Lauzon with a striking combination, Dunham then hits a swinging Lauzon with a counter right. Lauzon backs Dunham up after landing a few lefts, Lauzon then cracks Dunham with a left to the midsection. The fighters clinch up and exchange a few knee strikes, Dunham continuously catches Lauzon with straight lefts. Dunham also continues attacking Lauzon with punching combinations, the fighters clinch again and battle for position along the cage wall. Dunham also starts mixing in some kicks in his attack on Lauzon, Dunham scores a takedown on Lauzon as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Dunham instantly attacking Lauzon with a high kick, Dunham goes right back to attacking Lauzon with punching combinations. Dunham then cracks an incoming Lauzon with a two punch combo, the fighters also start exchanging some leg kicks. Dunham grabs a hold of Lauzon and he holds him up against the cage wall, Lauzon catches Dunham with a knee strike as they separate from the cage wall. Dunham responds by cracking Lauzon with standing elbow strikes, Dunham backs up Lauzon after cracking him with a few knee strikes as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Dunham quickly attacking Lauzon with punching combinations, Dunham starts mixing in some kicks in his attack on Lauzon. Dunham continues attacking Lauzon with punches while using a push kick as well, Lauzon then catches a kicking Dunham with a counter right. The fighters start exchanging some leg kicks, Lauzon tries pulling guard and Dunham opts to keep the fight standing instead. Dunham starts landing a plethora of lefts on Lauzon, Lauzon starts eating several counter strike combos from Dunham. Lauzon comes forward on Dunham to land a stiff left uppercut, Dunham attacks Lauzon with a few more combos as the round ends.

Fight Result: Evan Dunham def. Joe Lauzon by unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-26)

Fight #8 - UFC Lightweight Division Fight

Edson Barboza (16-3-0) vs. Tony Ferguson (20-3-0)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with the fighters immediately swinging away at each other, Barboza starts nailing Ferguson with some leg kicks. Ferguson rolls for a leg lock to bring Barboza to the ground, the fighters exchange more strikes while on the ground. Ferguson accidentally kicks a downed Barboza and the fight is halted, the fight resumes with the referee taking a point from Ferguson. The action resumes with both fighters leveling the other with strikes, Barboza starts attacking Ferguson with a plethora of kicks. Barboza scores a takedown on Ferguson and he immediately allows the fight to be stood back up, Barboza then hits a swinging Ferguson with a counter left. Ferguson catches Barboza with four straight punches to the face, Barboza catches Ferguson with a spinning heel kick to the face. Ferguson starts working over the midsection of Ferguson with strikes, Barboza eats a right before kicking Ferguson in the behind as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Barboza landing a few kicks to the rib cage of Ferguson, Barboza then cracks an incoming Ferguson with a right. Ferguson cuts open Barboza badly with a standing elbow strike, Barboza trips up a kicking Ferguson and he gets top position on the ground. Barboza gets up and he allows Ferguson to stand as well, Ferguson attacks Barboza with a lot of punching combinations. Ferguson attacks Barboza with a spinning elbow strike, Barboza looks for a takedown and Ferguson catches him in a d’arce choke to force a tap out.

Fight Result: Tony Ferguson def. Edson Barboza by submission via d’arce choke (2:54, R2)

Fight #9 - UFC Ultimate Fighter 22 Lightweight Finals

Ryan Hall (4-1-0) vs. Artem Lobov (12-10-1-1NC)

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One

The round begins with Hall attacking Lobov with a variety of kicks, Hall dives at the legs of Lobov to get the fight to the ground. Lobov transitions to back control on a scrambling Lobov, Hall goes for a rear naked choke and Lobov escapes after a long struggle. Hall tries to weaken Lobov by attacking him with short range strikes, Hall pounds away on Lobov with n=more strikes as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Hall keeping Lobov at bay by throwing some kicks, Hall starts hunting for the takedown on Lobov. Hall pulls guard to get the fight back to the ground, Hall attacks Lobov with a ton of strikes while on his back. Lobov scrambles to get the fight standing again, Hall again pulls guard on Lobov to get the fight to the ground. Lobov starts attacking Hall with some ground and pound, Hall rolls for a heel hook and Lobov breaks free to keep top position. Hall attempts another heel hook as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Hall diving for the leg of Lobov to get the fight to the ground, Lobov scrambles to his feet and Hall pulls guard on him to get the fight back to the ground. Hall goes right back to attacking Lobov with strikes while on his back, Lobov scrambles to his feet and Hall gets standing back control on him. Hall hunts for the rear naked choke as the round ends.

Fight Result: Ryan Hall def. Artem Lobov by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26)

Main Event - UFC Featherweight Division Fight

Frankie Edgar (18-4-1) vs. Chad Mendes (17-3-0)

Referee: John McCarthy

Round One

The round begins with Edgar attacking Mendes with some leg kicks, Edgar attacks Mendes with some punching combinations. Mendes attacks Edgar with some leg kicks of his own, Edgar then hits a swinging Mendes with a counter right. Edgar clobbers Mendes with a left hook and Mendes goes out cold.

Fight Result: Frankie Edgar def. Chad Mendes by KO via punch (2:28, R1)
