Current UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum has signed an eight fight contract extension with the UFC, his current MMA record is 20-5-1. Werdum is currently scheduled to defend the heavyweight title in a rematch against Cain Velasquez at UFC 196. Werdum won the championship back at UFC 188, where he defeated the aforementioned Velasquez by submission.
