Following a lengthy legal battle, the UFC has come to terms and has released long estranged fighter Wanderlei Silva. Silva and the UFC have been at odds for a year-plus now following a drug test debacle and subsequent fall out between the two entities. Silva last competed in the promotion at UFC On Fuel TV VIII in March 2013, where he defeated Brian Stann by knockout. Silva has stated he will not be retiring, with Rizin FF, Bellator MMA and the World Series Of Fighting being the likely places he will go.
