ROUSEY COACH SUSPENDED BY CSAC

By David Tees on 2/2/2016 8:14 PM

Longtime coach of former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, Edmund Tarverdyan, has been suspended three months by the California State Athletic Commission for falsifying paperwork. Tarverdyan will also be fined $5,000 and he will be put on probation by the CSAC for three years. Tarverdyan was accused of perjury by the commission earlier this year when a 2010 arrest was not listed on the paperwork he handed the commission. Tarverdyan will be able to corner fighters again in May 2016, he last cornered heavyweight fighter Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night: Dillashaw vs. Cruz, that event was held in the state of Massachusetts.
