Following the injury to John Lineker, Augusto Mendes has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Cody Garbrandt at UFC Fight Night 83. Mendes will be making his UFC debut in this fight and he is also a veteran of the Legacy Fighting Championships. Garbrandt is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, which already includes two wins in the UFC. UFC Fight Night 83 takes place on February 21st from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Donald Cerrone and Alex Oliveira headlining.
