Following the injury to UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos, Nate Diaz has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Conor McGregor in a welterweight bout at UFC 196. McGregor is the current UFC Featherweight Champion and this fight will mark his welterweight division debut. Diaz has won just two of his last five fights and he will be fighting at welterweight for the first time in nearly five years. UFC 196 takes place on March 6th from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
