A welterweight division attraction that will be pitting Stephen Thompson on the opposite side of the octagon against Rory MacDonald. Thompson will enter the fight riding a six fight winning streak and this will be his third straight headlining bout in the UFC. MacDonald will be competing for the first time since losing a title fight to welterweight champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 189. UFC Fight Night 89 takes place on June 18th from a location TBA in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with the aforementioned fighters headlining.
