By Mike Johnson on 4/27/2016 3:24 PM

4/27- CWE Live At The Great Transcona Campout For The Tim Horton's Children Foundation.

Canadian Wrestling's Elite is excited to announce its participation in the 2016 Great Transcona Campout to help raise funds for the Tim Horton's Children Foundation.

CWE joins Greg Veosovich, the owner of the Tim Horton's restaurant located at 1495 Regent Ave. W in his quest to raise funds to help send under privileged children camp. The Great Transcona Camput began last year as Greg camped out on the roof of his restaurant for one week straight in effort to garner donations for the organization.

Last year was a monumental hit far exceeding all target fundraising goals and drawing attention from media and citizens from across the city. Due to the events mass success and far reach last year it is growing this year as Greg takes to the roof for one week once again May 25th-June 1st and will remain up there regardless of the weather conditions.

This year will also see different forms of entertainment perform on different nights of the week to help draw attention to the task at hand. Canadian Wrestling's Elite will be joining the effort providing a FREE wrestling event in the parking lot of the Tim Horton's restaurant on Sunday, May 28th with a special 7:30pm show!

The show is FREE for all to attend and donations will be graciously accepted. All monies raised is in support of the The Tim Horton's Children's Foundation.

Come out and enjoy some great wrestling, spread the word, and donate to a great cause on Sunday, May 28th!

About the Foundation: The Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp environment for children from economically disadvantaged homes. Year-round, local children are selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Hortons store operates, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend one of our camps.

Children living in economically disadvantaged homes often do not have access to supports that develop positive life skills. With 1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States living in an economically disadvantaged home* , the Tim Horton Children's Foundation provides opportunities for these children to develop into positive, contributing members of their communities. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp experience is designed to give children confidence in their abilities through participation in challenging programs. They experience pride in their accomplishments as they succeed in attaining their goals, and they gain a positive view of this world and their future in it.

Children's Foundation Mission:The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is dedicated to fostering within our children the quest for a brighter future.

More about the Camps: Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp programs are designed to give children the opportunity to experience many positive personal achievements while at camp. This allows them to grow, develop independence, and return home with new found strengths and the courage to achieve the goals they set for themselves. The Foundation has three core programs that serve close to 14,000 children each year.

Children who attend the summer program enjoy at 10 day session at camp. The Foundation covers all costs for each child to attend camp which includes transportation, equipment for any programs at camp, food and lodging. During the summer sessions campers enjoy activities such as the high and low adventures courses, archery, canoeing, and creative arts. Many of these activities campers try for the first time while at camp. Campers also meet new friends, challenge themselves and learn that if they try hard they can achieve great things.
