KAYFABE DOJO RETURNING TO ROCHESTER, NY THIS SATURDAY

By Mike Johnson on 8/12/2016 9:37 AM

Fresh off the heels of UPW's biggest show of the year Headlocks & Homeruns 5, Kayfabe Dojo Wrestling returns to Pineapple Jack's in Rochester, New York this Saturday. Doors open at 3:30 PM and bell time is at 4 PM. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and are available online through the UPW website at upstateprowrestling.wixsite.com/upstateprowrestling. There's been some major changes and additions to the card. Here's the updated card for the show as of right now which is subject to change.

Main Event

Defiance (KDW Heavyweight Champion Chris Cayden & Maximo Suave) & Bam Bam vs. #WrestleFamily (Hellcat, "The Young Lion of the West" Mattick, & "All Passion" Ryan Cassidy)

The main event of KDW's Overkill will be a six-man tag team grudge match with plenty of combustible elements involved. "Mr. Charisma Personified" Chris Cayden defeated Hellcat for the KDW Heavyweight Title ending his nearly two-year long reign champion, but with a LOT of help from the PR Nation and Maximo Suave. "The Man That Father Time Forgot" has waited almost two months for some payback and will look to send the new champion on a one-way trip to "Chop Shop City." There's also the ongoing war between Maximo Suave and Mattick. Last weekend UPW No Limits Champion Mattick defeated Maximo Suave in a title vs. title steel cage match to win the UPW Heavyweight Title. Maximo has been seething over his defeat for almost a week now and even though there's no championships at stake, you have to believe the "Rican Sensation" will be gunning for Mattick for ending his title reign. Bam Bam is a member of the PR Nation who have made an immediate impact since arriving on the scene in KDW. On the other side of the spectrum, the same can be said for Ryan Cassidy. "All Passion" has quickly become a fan favorite with his heart and never-say-die attitude. Put all of these together and it's a recipe for an explosion as these two teams do battle this Saturday at Pineapple Jack's.

KDW Tag Team Title Match

The Wet Bandits vs. The Interstate Educational System (c)

This battle between these two teams has been going on for months and come August 13th The Wet Bandits have their opportunity at the KDW Tag Team Titles. The Wet Bandits have been a thorn in the side of Professor Wessler & Wideload Dewey Murray since the beginning of their title reign. From the looks of it Rosecroft & O'Connor have been one step ahead of the champions. After the last KDW show where the Wet Bandits earned their right to face the champs with the titles on the line Rosecroft & O'Connor "borrowed" the belts and walked out with them. None of this has sat well with the Professor and Dewey. These two brawlers haven't taken too lightly to being made fools of and having their belts taken. There is no doubt that they will be looking to inflict punishment on the Wet Bandits and show them that the tag team titles belong right where they are. This is the chance Rosecroft & O'Connor have been working so hard towards, surely they will leave it all out there in the ring that night. They have been on a mission, ?#‎TagTeamTitlesOrBust?. Will it be a night where we crown NEW KDW Tag Team Champions? Or will The interstate Educational System prove to be too big of a road block for Rosecroft & O'Connor to get past? Find out Saturday at KDW's Overkill!

KDW Triple Threat Title Match

"The Alpha & The Omega" Jason Savior vs. Victor Lord vs. "100% Intensity" Bobby Dipinto

The KDW Triple Threat Championship will also be on the line at Overkill. Jason Savior has been on a roll since becoming Triple Threat Champion back in April taking the title away from Victor Lord. But Savior still feels disrespected by the company and feels he's not being given the respect or recognition he deserves. Savior will look to use this slightness as motivation to maintain the gold, but will face two worthy adversaries in Victor Lord and Bobby Dipinto. Lord is a former champion who has a long history with Savior and love nothing more than to get his title back. Bobby Dipinto was scheduled to face Rob Sweet, but Sweet has gone MIA and his whereabouts are unknown. So with that, Commissioner Casey Doyle has decided to put Dipinto in the title match as the second challenger. Angered over not getting the chance to go after Sweet, Dipinto now looks to channel his frustrations toward Victor Lord and Jason Savior and winning his first singles title in KDW.

Icon Ace vs. "Your Captain" Nick Ando

Saturday at KDW's Overkill marks the return of "Your Captain" Nick Ando to KDW for the first time in about two years. A lot has happened in Ando's time away from the company, But a reenergized and refocused Ando is back and ready to make an impact. Standing in his way, though, will be Icon Ace. Ace is a PR Nation member who's already tried to make for himself. He'll look to do that Saturday and scoring a victory over the Captain would be the biggest in his young career so far and catapault him to new heights.

"Rain On Your Parade" Cloudy vs. "Just" Jeremy Jensen

Another man who'll be making a rare appearance this Saturday will be Cloudy. "The Rain on Your Parade" is always looking for a fight and showcase his skills and KDW's Overkill will be no different. He'll be taking on "Just" Jeremy Jensen. Jensen is a young upstart out of the UPW Dojo also looking to step up to the plate and knock off his biggest and toughest challenger to date. Jensen never backs down from a fight, but Cloudy's experience and killer instinct might be too much for the youngster Jensen to overcome.

Marc Hauss Open House

"The American Villain" Marc Hauss will also be at KDW's Overkill. Always one looking for a fight, Hauss is issuing an open challenge to anyone in the KDW locker room to face him this Saturday. Hauss has been in a bit of a slump in KDW and will look to get back on track, but one has to wonder if Hauss' strategy will pay off considering he has no idea who his opponent will be. Will it be Marc's Hauss this Saturday and who will step up to the plate to face him? Be there this Saturday and find out.
