In what may be one of the biggest signings in the promotions history, former UFC Welterweight Title Rory MacDonald is set to sign with Bellator MMA. Macdonald, who’s current MMA record is 18-4-0, has achieved notable wins in the UFC over Nate Diaz, Mike Pyle, BJ Penn, Jake Ellenberger, Damian Maia, Tyron Woodley and Tarec Saffiedine. MacDonald did challenge for the UFC Welterweight Title, dropping a fifth round TKO loss to then champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 189. When the dotted line is signed by MacDonald, he is expected to immediately challenge Andrey Koreshkov for the welterweight championship.
