Live and Free TONIGHT - ‘ACB 45: Siberia vs. Caucasus’

The latest card from Russian promotion Absolute Championship Berkut is set to take place in the Ice Palace Arena today in the famed city of St Petersburg. The card looks set to be an exciting one as ACB have packed it with some of their top stars with match ups that looks set to line up contenders for their champions in a number of weight classes.

Although the road has been a long one the journey to this card has had a few bumps in the road. Most notably was the loss of their headline fight between Albert Duraev and Patrik Kincl when Duraev failed to make weight and causing the fight to be pulled and Duraev to be stripped of the title.

The strength of ACB cards came in to play as now stepping in to the headline slot is the equally exciting title fight for the ACB Featherweight crown between Zabit Magomedsharipov vs. Valdines Silva. Brazillian Silva has cut his teeth on his home soil with impressive 6 win fight streak leading to hi catching the eyes of the ACB matchmaker. All 6 fights have come by way of finish and 4 of them with in the very first round. This will be his 20th pro fight and by far his toughest test as he comes up against current ACB champion Zabit.

Zabit dominated the featherweight grand prix to claim the title and his long tall frame and well rounded game has proved a puzzle to difficult to solve for many that have faced him. With and 11-2 record it’s his current run of form that has made him stand out above the rest. Currently riding a 7 fight win streak he looks every bit the champion as he has dominated many of those that have tried to stand in his way. This will be a tough test for both fighters and a match up that may cause ripples across the MMA world.

Also on the card is the highly anticipated Bantamweight fight between Oleg Borisov and Tural Ragimov. Ragimov is the hometown fighter and will be looking to put a show on for his fans. With an exciting ‘all-out’ fighting style that has earned him the reputation as one of the most exciting fighters on the ACB roster he will have his hands full against the rising star that is Oleg Borisov.

Borisov is short, stocky and extremely powerful. With a good wrestling base and hard strikes he has dominated both at Bantam and Featherweight. On a 13 fight win streak he will be looking to continue this dominant form at the Ice Palace tonight.

This fight looks set to line up the number one contender for the next shot at the Bantamweight strap.

Also on the card is lightweight prospect Alexander Sarnavskiy who will be looking to make a statement in his ACB debut. Also debuting tonight will be ex-UFC fighter Hans Stringer who will face the tough test of light-heavyweight monster Muslim Makhmudov.
