Dave Meltzer is reporting that, of all things, there is talk among those in Global Force Wrestling about bringing Jim Cornette in as on-screen character. I honestly can't see Jim going back into that company. The Louisville Slugger appeared on a few of Jeff Jarrett's GFW Grand Slam tour in the past. So there's a possibility that it could happen given his relationship with the Jarrett family. But I don't really know if it's a good idea.

Plus, if you're bringing back Cornette on television you want him to be more than another talking head on television. You already have Bruce Prichard, Dutch Mantell, and Karen Jarrett as authority figures. What role do you give Cornette? It will probably be similar to his previous role in the TNA regime as The Director of Authority making sense of nonsensical storylines.

I'm all for Jim getting a payday if he so desires but I want him to have a clearly defined role. Seems like to me they're trying to endear themselves with the old-school wrestling audience. But that's just my opinion.
