DEFY WRESTLING CELEBRATES ANNIVERSARY WITH DEFY X: YEAR ONE

DEFY Wrestling returns February 2nd to the Washington Hall in Seattle WA with a stacked card headlined by a dream match featuring DEFY Champion, the "King of Swerve" Shane Strickland defends his gold against former WWE superstar and current IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion Matt Sydal. 2017 saw the world-wide emergence of the DEFY Champion Shane Strickland. From the moment he squared off with Cody Rhodes at DEFY's first event, Shane traveled the world competing with the best wrestlers around the globe.

The match with former WWE Tag Team Champion and 2 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Matt Sydal, is a match that is a bucket-list match for the Champ Shane Strickland. Sydal has been a trend setter when it comes to death defying, innovative wrestling and someone that Strickland is highly motivated to wrestle. This is one DEFY Championship Match you will not want to miss!

DEFY X: Year One will also feature the debut of international star ACH, who will attempt to use his speed as he faces off with the massive Brody King. Since Brody King debuted with DEFY Wrestling in late 2017 he has been on a tear through the wrestling world! ACH who has competed in rings around the world has possibly never met a person who combines the size, speed and strength as Brody King. One thing is for certain both men have their sites set on the DEFY Championship and a good showing could put either men into contention for a title shot.

Also making his debut with DEFY Wrestling is the "Bad Boy" from Asbury Park, New Jersey, Joey Janela. The Bad Boy will take on a huge fan favorite for DEFY's fans, the weirdo-hero, Ravenous Randy Myers! Myers who made a big impact on a recent episode of IMPACT wrestling as he fought Sami Callihan on POP TV. These men both bring their own unique style of in ring action to DEFY X: Year One, and who knows if the ring, or Washington Hall will be able to contain the action!

One of professional wrestling's more respected grappler, Nicole Matthews who bears the nickname "Shimmer-taker" will take on the rookie sensation Hawlee Layne. Matthews has shown her dominance in the squared circle and a win by Layne could propel her career on another level.

In another highly anticipated match at DEFY X: Year One will be a battle of big men, as the bully, the "Black Sheep" Dave Turner takes on the man with one name, SCHAFF. These men have had issues for months now, and it boiled to head at DEFY 9 when SCHAFF felt Turner was taking liberties with his opponent and disrupted there match. This time the two heavyweights will go toe to toe!

DEFY Wrestling is also introducing a new match for the DEFYANCE with the inaugural DEFY to SURVIVE match. This match will feature 10 wrestlers, who will enter a blind draw placing each wrestler into a team of 5 wrestlers. They will then battle another team of 5 wrestlers in a elimination tag team match. If the winning team has more than one member remaining after one team is eliminated, those wrestlers will face off until one survive's!

Don't miss these matches and so much more February 2nd at 153 14th Ave, Seattle WA 98122

The evening will be hosted by Steve Migs, of the BJ & Migs morning show on KISW.
