eason 19 kicks off this Sunday, January 28th with “Beware the Snowman“! This season, all events from the Wrestle Factory will be streamed live to CHIKARAtopia.com! Note the special start time of 2:00 pm EST for this event (we’ll be done well ahead of the Royal Rumble.)
The Grand Championship of CHIKARA is on the line as Juan Francisco de Coronadofaces Hype Rockwell at our first event of 2018! Hype amassed his third point after defeating his former partner Race Jaxon at “Closing Time”, in wrestling’s first ever “Loser Becomes Masked” Match. While the match was certainly one of Hype’s most formidable challenges, Juan Francisco has scratched and clawed his way through 8 challengers already. Look for Hype to bring the N_R_G to his title opportunity at “Beware the Snowman”!
Travis Huckabee will go one-on-one with Gran Akuma! Travis has been the target of a new feeling among veterans of CHIKARA – that the latest round of Wrestle Factory graduates are “soft”. As the standout of this new class, Huckabee is the first target of these returning faces that are hoping to put the rest of the rookies on notice. This Sunday, Travis looks to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he’s more than tough enough!
The Proletariat Boar of Moldova charges out of the gate as he faces Cornelius Crummels! Season 18 ended on a low note for these two as Boar’s match was interrupted by 17 and Crummels lost his match with The Rumblebees. Both of these young athletes are looking to turn their luck around and start off Season 19 with a win. At “Beware the Snowman”, one will feel the fire of victory, while the other gets left out in the cold.
