From The Offices Of Qatar Pro Wrestling: Rob Van Dam To Be A Part of QPW SuperSlam 2; Tickets On Sale Now!
QPW is determined to make SuperSlam 2, by far, the biggest event in the history of the promotion, with an all-star card of superstars, legends, and icons from across the pro wrestling spectrum all converging in Doha, Qatar on Friday, February 21 for a live broadcast to be seen across the world. One such star who will take part in the event is one of most innovative, most influential, and most revered talents of his entire generation. You can call him "Mr. Monday Night", "Mr. PPV", or simply the "Whole F'n Show", he is Rob Van Dam.
An avid martial artist, Rob Van Dam became among the first to fuse the worlds of martial arts, kickboxing and professional wrestling in the United States, cultivating a hybrid style that emphasized RVD's athleticism and physical strikes. Rob first rose to prominence in ECW, as a partner and rival of fellow-daredevil Sabu, before moving on to defeat Bam Bam Bigelow for the ECW World TV Title, which Rob would hold for a record of nearly two years before being forced to relinquish it due to injury. Rob's breathtaking matches against the likes of Jerry Lynn are still heralded to this day, but Rob was only getting started. Rob migrated to the WWF where he dazzled fans in matches with the likes of Jeff Hardy, and went on to reign as a WWF/E Intercontinental, World Tag Team, and World Champion. Rob also defeated AJ Styles for the TNA World Championship in 2010. Perhaps RVD's strongest trait is not physical, but the power of his mind, as his focus and discipline has enabled him to showcase astounding body control, and remain in amazing health for someone who performs such a high-risk style. RVD is ready to dazzle fans again, this time in Qatar Pro Wrestling, and there's no telling what could be in store for the rest of the QPW roster courtesy of RVD.
