ESW to make Grand Island debut
Top international and local wrestling talent to be in action at new venue
Empire State Wrestling (ESW) will hold its first ever event in Grand Island, N.Y. at the Radisson Hotel at 100 Whitehaven Road on Saturday, January 25 with "Shipwrecked on Grando Island".
ESW's first event of the new decade will feature Western New York's top wrestling talent as well as major independent wrestling stars from the U.S. and Canada. It also comes on the heels of its last show in November at the Kenan Center in Lockport, N.Y. that featured World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley.
Shipwrecked on Grando Island will feature the following:
ESW Heavyweight Champion "Red Death" Daniel Garcia will defend the title against Binghamton, N.Y. native "Hybrid" Sean Carr
ESW Interstate Champion Frankie Feathers will put his title up for grabs versus Buffalo, N.Y.'s Roscoe Black who jumped the champ after his last two matches
ESW Tag Team Champions Handcrafted will issue an open challenge
2019 Ilio DiPaolo Cup winner "Unkillable" Kevin Blackwood will face 2018 DiPaolo Cup winner "The Patron Saint of Professional Wrestling" Brandon Thurston
One half of the current Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions "All Ego" Ethan Page will square off against three-time former ESW Heavyweight Champion "Big Time" Bill Collier
Space Monkey will make his ESW return versus "Silver Teeth Satan" Atticus Cogar
Rising independent star Danhausen will make his ESW debut, while "Your Captain" Nick Ando and many more of ESW's regular stars will also be in action
Doors open at 5 p.m. with the action starting at 6 p.m. Front and second row tickets are sold out. General admission tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 on event day. Only 400 total tickets are available for this event. ESW's official after-party will be held at Mooney's on Main in Tonawanda, N.Y. Shipwrecked on Grando Island will be recorded for ESW’s live streaming outlets.

As Western New York’s premier independent professional wrestling promotion, ESW over the years hosted many of pro wrestling’s top up-and-comers and biggest legends.
Current World Wrestling Entertainment stars Kevin Owens, Matt Hardy, Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Cedric Alexander, Ruby Riott, Tony Nese, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, EC3, Bobby Fish, Damian Priest, Joaquin Wilde, Oney Lorcan and Kassius Ohno all wrestled in ESW’s ring.
Pro wrestling legends Kevin Nash, Brutus Beefcake, Jimmy Snuka, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, The Honky Tonk Man, Jim Duggan, Koko B. Ware, Bushwacker Luke, Demolition, D-Von Dudley, Goldust, Raven, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and several others appeared at previous ESW events.
Founded in 2002, ESW is run by Brett Stymus. Over half of ESW’s performers reside in the Western New York area. ESW runs regular shows throughout the year that draw up to 400 fans and an annual "super show" that boasts crowds of up to 1,000 people.
