A flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night 187 according to Combate as Matheus Nicolau faces Tagir Ulanbekov.

Nicolau (15-2-1) is starting his second run with the UFC after going 3-1-0 in his first run with the promotion. Nicolau’s three previous victories in the UFC came over Bruno Rodrigues Mesquita, John Moraga and Louis Smolka. Nicolau is competing for the first time in almost two years, with his last fight happening in August of 2019.

Ulanbekov (13-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Bruno Silva by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 179. Ulanbekov hasn’t been beaten in over two years, with that loss coming to UFC veteran Zhalgas Zhumagulov at Fight Nights Global 88. Ulanbekov is a former FNG Flyweight Champion, defeating Vartan Asatryan at FNG 76 in October of 2017.

UFC Fight Night 187 takes place on Saturday, March 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Leon Edwards and an opponent to be announced headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
