A women’s featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 256 according to Combate as Julia Budd faces Dayana Silva.
Budd (14-3-0) has won nine of ten in Bellator MMA, last defeating Jessy Miele at Bellator 244 in August of 2020. Budd is a former Bellator Women’s Featherweight Champion, successfully defending the gold three times before losing it to Cyborg at Bellator 238. Budd has picked up 14 wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
Silva (9-5-0) is making her Bellator debut in this bout and the fighter does so having won two of her last four fights. Silva has seen her last seven fights go the distance and it has been over seven years since the fighter got a finish. Silva competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 3, suffering a split decision loss to Gisele Moreira.
Bellator 256 takes place on Friday, April 9 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Ryan Bader and Lyoto Machida headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
