By David Tees on 2/22/2021 4:12 PM

Dan Ige needed a new opponent for UFC Fight Night 187 after the withdrawal of Ryan Hall and now he has one because Brett Okamoto of ESPN is reporting that Gavin Tucker has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Ige (14-3-0) has won six of his last seven in the UFC, with some notable wins coming over Kevin Aguilar, Mirsad Bektic and Edson Barboza. Ige has previously headlined a UFC card, which was a unanimous decision loss to Calvin Kattar at UFC On ESPN 13. Ige has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by decision.

Tucker (13-1-0) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, picking up wins over Seung Woo Choi, Justin Jaynes and Billy Quarantillo. Tucker has suffered a single defeat as a pro MMA fighter and that came to Rick Glenn at UFC 215. Tucker has picked up six of 13 wins by way of submission, with another four coming by KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night 187 takes place on Saturday, March 13 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
