A welterweight division attraction has been added to the May 8 UFC card according to MMA Junkie as Carlston Harris faces Christian Aguilera.
Harris (15-4-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Harris is a former Brave CF Welterweight Champion, losing the gold to Jarrah Hussein Al-Silawi at Brave CF 16. Harris has competed 19 times as a professional MMA fighter and 10 of them went the distance.
Aguilera (14-7-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Anthony Ivy at UFC On ESPN 10. Aguilera hasn’t picked up a win in almost a year by the time he competes, as his last win came in June of 2010. Aguilera has picked up 11 of 14 wins by way of KO/TKO, with the rest coming by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, May 8 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
