A lightweight division attraction has been revealed for Bellator 255 by Scott Coker as Usman Nurmagomedov faces Mike Hamel.
Nurmagomedov (11-0-0) is making his Bellator debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost four years. Nurmagomedov has competed 11 times as a pro MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance. Nurmagomedov has seen his last four fights end via KO/TKO and it has been over a year since the fighter got a different form of finish.
Hamel (7-4-0) is winless thus far under the Bellator banner, dropping a bout to Adam Borics at Bellator 243. Hamel hasn’t earned a victory in over a year, with that last win coming over Fabio Serrao in February of 2020. Hamel has picked up four of seven wins by decision, with the rest coming by KO/TKO.
Bellator 255 takes place on Friday, April 2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Patricio Pitbull and Emmanuel Sanchez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
