A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 261 according to MMA Junkie as Brendan Allen faces Karl Roberson.
Allen (15-4-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Kevin Holland, Tom Breese and Kyle Daukaus. Allen competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 4, defeating Aaron Jeffery by first round submission. Allen is a former LFA Middleweight Champion, defeating Moses Murrietta at LFA 61 to claim the gold.
Roberson (9-3-0) has won two of his last four in the UFC, defeating Wellington Turman and Roman Kopylov. Roberson is competing for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout happened in June of 2020. Roberson competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Season 1, Episode 3, defeating Ryan Spann by first round knockout.
UFC 261 takes place on Saturday, April 24 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
