A welterweight division attraction has been added to the June 19 UFC card according to MMA Fighting as Matt Brown faces Dhiego Lima.
Brown (22-18-0) has won two of his last seven under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Diego Sanchez and Ben Saunders. Brown hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming at UFC 245 in December of 2019. Brown is competing for the second time this year, making it the first time he has competed twice in the same year since 2016.
Lima (15-8-0) has picked up wins in three of his last four UFC fights, with those victories coming against Chad Laprise, Court McGee and Luke Jumeau. Lima has seen his last three fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish. Lima made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25, but lost to Jesse Taylor in that final fight.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
