A flyweight division attraction has been added to the May 8 UFC card according to The Corner & The Casual Podcast as Francisco Figueiredo faces Jimmy Flick.
Figueiredo (12-3-1-1NC) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Jerome Rivera by unanimous decision at UFC On ESPN 20. Figueiredo is the brother of Deiveson Figueiredo, who is the current UFC Flyweight Champion. Figueiredo has picked up seven of 12 wins by submission, with another three coming by KO/TKO.
Flick (16-5-0) is also undefeated thus far in his UFC journey, having beaten Cody Durden by first round submission at UFC Fight Night 183. Flick competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 4, Episode 5, defeating Nate Smith by third round submission. Flick has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, May 8 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
