A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to the June 19 UFC card according to Combate as #13 Virna Jandiroba faces Kanako Murata.
Jandiroba (16-2-0) has won two of her last four fights, with those wins coming over the duo of Mallory Martin and Felice Herrig. Jandiroba has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition. Jandiroba is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Mizuki Inoue to win the gold at Invicta FC 28.
Murata (12-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner, having defeated Randa Markos by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 182. Murata is also a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Emily Ducote at Invicta FC 38 to claim the gold. Murata has suffered a single loss as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Rin Nakai at Rizin 3.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
