A heavyweight division attraction is reportedly set for the June 19 UFC card according to MMA DNA as Josh Parisian faces Roque Martinez.
Parisian (13-4-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Parker Porter at UFC On ESPN 18. Parisian competed twice before on Dana White’s Contender Series, picking up wins over Greg Rebello and Chad Johnson. Parisian has picked up 10 of 13 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another two coming by submission.
Martinez (15-7-2) is also winless thus far in the UFC, losing bouts to the duo of Alexander Romanov and Don’Tale Mayes. Martinez hasn’t won a fight in over a year, with his last win coming over Hideki Sekine at Rizin 21. Martinez competed 24 times as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have gone the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
