Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos, who has been with the UFC since 2008, is no longer a part of the promotion.
The fighter made the announcement through Instagram:
Dos Santos earned a 15-8-0 record in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Fabricio Werdum, Stefan Struve, Mirko Cro Cop, Roy Nelson, Shane Carwin, Cain Velasquez, Frank Mir, Mark Hunt, Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis. Dos Santos became the UFC Heavyweight Champion at UFC On Fox 1 in November of 2011, defeating the aforementioned Velasquez by first round knockout.
