Alistair Overeem has been with the UFC for over nine years now, but the fighter won’t reach year 10 because the fighter has been released from the promotion according to Combate.
Overeem earned a 12-8-0 record in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Brock Lesnar, Frank Mir, Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski, Mark Hunt, Fabricio Werdum, Walt Harris and Augusto Sakai. Overeem challenged for the UFC Heavyweight Title at UFC 203 in September of 2016, suffering a first round knockout loss to Stipe Miocic.
The fighter’s last bout in the promotion came in the main event of UFC Fight Night 184, where he suffered a second round TKO loss to Alexander Volkov.
