A lightweight division attraction has been added to the May 8 UFC card according to MMA DNA as Nikolas Motta faces Damir Hadzovic.
Motta (12-3-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak, Motta competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 4, Episode 9, defeating Joseph Lowry by unanimous decision. Motta is a former CFFC Lightweight Champion, but he gave up the gold upon signing with the UFC.
Hadzovic (13-6-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Nick Hein and Marco Polo Reyes. Hadzovic hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with his last victory coming at UFC Fight Night 145 in February of 2019. Hadzovic has picked up seven of 13 pro MMA wins by KO/TKO, with another three coming by submission.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, May 8 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
