Alistair Overeem and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos were both recently released by the promotion.
Dos Santos has already commented on his release, while Overeem has now taken to Instagram to comment on his parting with the UFC:
Overeem earned a 12-8-0 record in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Brock Lesnar, Frank Mir, Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski, Mark Hunt, Fabricio Werdum, Walt Harris and Augusto Sakai. Overeem challenged for the UFC Heavyweight Title at UFC 203 in September of 2016, suffering a first round knockout loss to Stipe Miocic.
