A pair of bantamweights have been purged from the UFC roster according to MMA Fighting as both Geraldo De Freitas and Gabriel Silva have reportedly been given the pink slip.
De Freitas (12-6-0, 1-2-0 UFC) picked up a single win under the UFC banner and that came over Felipe Dias Colares at UFC Fight Night 144. De Freitas leaves the UFC on a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in over two years.
Silva (8-2-0, 0-2-0 UFC) went winless during his UFC run, dropping bouts to the duo of Ray Borg and Kyler Phillips. Silva is the younger brother of former UFC fighter Erick Silva, who now fights for Bellator.
