It was recently announced by Texas Governor Greg Abbott that all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, which includes capacity limits for all facilities.

UFC President Dana White, a short time after the news came out, has revealed that there are plans in the making that will see the UFC return to Texas.

"I want to go to Texas ASAP," White said during the UFC 259 pre-fight press conference (via ESPN). "I'll go in the next two, three weeks. I'm ready to roll. We'll be first. We'll open this thing up, we'll sell it out and be on our way."

The first show that may be held in Texas is UFC 260, which is headlined by Stipe Miocic defending the heavyweight strap against Francis Ngannou.

White also revealed that he would hold this weekend’s UFC 259 card in Texas if he could.

"I'm ready to go," White said. "I'd move this one (UFC 259 on Saturday) if we could. I told everybody when this opened up that I would be first and we would go first. And we will. ... If we could do it, we'd do it."
