A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 255 according to MMA Junkie as Mads Burnell faces Saul Rogers.
Burnell (14-3-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator banner, having defeated Darko Banovic by first round TKO at Bellator 248. Burnell is a former Cage Warriors Featherweight Champion, defeating Dean Trueman to win the gold at Cage Warriors 106. Burnell won one of three during his time in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Mike Santiago at UFC Fight Night 124.
Rogers (14-3-0) has won two of three in Bellator, with those wims coming over Aiden Lee and Arbi Mezhidov. Rogers competed in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix, losing to Daniel Weichel in the opening round. Rogers has picked up nine of 14 pro MMA wins by submission, with another four coming by decision.
Bellator 255 takes place on Friday, April 2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Patricio Pitbull and Emmanuel Sanchez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Showtime.
