AMANDA NUNES IS “OKAY” WITH THE UFC POSSIBLY ELIMINATING THE WOMEN’S FEATHERWEIGHT DIVISION

Two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes defends the women’s featherweight title tomorrow night against Megan Anderson in the co-main event of UFC 259.

There is a chance that tomorrow night’s title fight could be the final one for the UFC Women’s Featherweight Division and Nunes seems okay with the potential end of the weight class.

“I feel like after this fight, the UFC should think about what they want to do with the division, because I have the belt, the belt is going to be mine forever,” Nunes told BT Sport (via Bloody Elbow). “This division has to retire with the belt being mine. So whatever they want to do after this fight, they can do with the division. I’m okay with it.”

Germaine De Randamie became the first ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion at UFC 208 in February of 2017, while Cyborg and now Nunes were the other two champions.
