A middleweight division attraction has been added to the June 19 UFC card according to MMA Fighting as Bruno Silva faces Wellington Turman.
Silva (19-6-0) is making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Silva is a former M-1 Challenge Middleweight Champion, but he relinquished the belt upon signing with the UFC. Silva is competing for the first time in over two years as he is coming off of a two year suspension from USADA.
Turman (16-4-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Markus Perez at UFC Fight Night 164. Turman hasn’t won a fight in over a year, with the win over Perez coming in November of 2019. Turman has competed 20 times as a pro MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night takes place on Saturday, June 19 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be revealed.
