A lightweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 255 according to MMA Mania as Roger Huerta faces Chris Gonzalez.
Huerta (24-12-1-1NC) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in over three years. Huerta is competing for the first time in over a year, last competing at Bellator 234 in November of 2019. Huerta has picked up just one win under the Bellator banner and that came over Chad Hinton at Bellator 13 in April of 2009.
Gonzalez (5-0-0) has already earned four wins in Bellator, with those coming over Charlie Radtke, Luis Vargas, Aaron McKenzie and Vladimir Tokov. Gonzalez’s lone appearance outside of Bellator was a first round submission win over Tyrese McCloud at Gladiator Challenge: Avalanche. Gonzalez has competed five times as a pro MMA fighter and four of those bouts went the distance.
Bellator 255 takes place on Friday, April 2 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Patricio Pitbull and Emmanuel Sanchez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs on Showtime.
