A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC 260 according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Jared Gooden faces Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
Gooden (17-5-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Alan Jouban at UFC 255. Gooden is a former Titan FC Welterweight Champion, but he relinquished the gold upon signing with the UFC last year. Gooden has competed 22 times as a pro MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.
Nurmagomedov (15-3-1) is also winless in the UFC, having dropped a contest to David Zawada at UFC Fight Night 163. Nurmagomedov is competing for the first time in over a year, as UFC Fight Night 163 happened in November of 2019. Nurmagomedov won just one of three in the PFL, with that lone win coming over Jonatan Westin at PFL 6.
UFC 260 takes place on Saturday, March 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
